Mobile tyre repair · Cannes and the Lérins coast

Flat tyre in Cannes? Stay where you are — we drive to the car.

A fully equipped van reaches your car wherever it's parked around Cannes — a hotel on La Croisette, a rental spot near the old town of Le Suquet, a villa in the hills above Super-Cannes, or a campsite towards Mandelieu-la-Napoule. The tyre gets repaired or replaced on the spot, at a price confirmed before the van even leaves.

Who usually calls

A good share of calls come from visitors without a garage relationship here: someone on a boat crew who left a car near Port Canto, a family in a holiday rental in La Bocca, a couple driving up the narrow bends towards Super-Cannes for a viewing appointment. None of them need to find a tyre shop or arrange a taxi — the same technician who answers the phone is the one who shows up with the right tyre already loaded.

The A8 motorway is the one place we can't reach

On the carriageway itself, on a slip road, or on the hard shoulder, only approved motorway recovery operators are allowed to work — call 112 or use an orange emergency phone if you're stuck there. Once the car has reached a rest area, an exit past the toll barrier, or a side road, it becomes a normal callout again. The same logic applies to the coast road towards Théoule-sur-Mer: its tight bends against the rock mean we'll sometimes ask you to reach the next pull-in rather than stop mid-curve.

What gets fixed, and how the decision is made

A puncture from a nail or screw is usually plugged from the inside following the standard repair method; a torn sidewall or a deep cut means a replacement tyre instead, always fitted in pairs on the same axle. A flat 12V battery or a spare wheel that needs mounting are handled the same visit if needed. The one thing that never happens is towing — the car leaves under its own power once the work is done.

Calling and paying

Dial +33423450484 from an international line (the France country code +33, then the number without its leading zero), or 04 23 45 04 84 with a French SIM or local Wi-Fi calling. The call is answered in French, but English is generally understood well enough to describe your location and the problem — have your hotel name, street, or campsite pitch ready, plus the tyre size from the sidewall if you can read it.

A puncture repair runs 49 €, or 79 € including an out-of-hours callout; fitting a new tyre costs 35 € per wheel with the tyre quoted separately, and a battery replacement is 149 €. Full pricing details in French are on the pricing page and the Cannes service page.

FAQ

Questions we're asked

My car is parked near the Vieux Port while I'm out on a boat — can you still help?

Yes, as long as the car itself is on land — the quay around the Vieux Port and Port Canto is a normal stop for us. What we can't reach is the two islands off the coast, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, since there's no road access there at all.

Does the festival period in May make things slower?

During the film festival, La Croisette and the streets around the Palais des Festivals get restricted access and heavier traffic, so give us a precise landmark — a hotel name or a numbered car park — rather than just "the Croisette", and build in a little extra time.

I'm renting a car with no spare wheel — is that a problem?

Not really. Many rental cars only carry a repair kit or nothing at all, so the technician brings a replacement tyre matching your size and fits it directly on the existing rim, as long as the rim itself isn't damaged. Read us the size marking on the sidewall when you call so the right tyre is loaded before the van leaves.

Is the price fixed once you quote it on the phone?

Yes. Whatever figure you're given — 79 € for an out-of-hours callout with repair, 49 € for a straightforward puncture repair, 35 € per wheel to fit a new tyre, or 149 € for a battery — is what appears on the invoice. Nothing changes once the technician is on site.
